Mary Lindheim was a prominent Sausalito artist from 1952-1969 who was active in saving the waterfront along Bridgeway; in the Sister City program with Vina del Mar, Chile; in the young Sausalito Art Festival; in the efforts to create a Sausalito Arts Center; as well as being a close colleague and friend of Edith Heath, Peter Macchiarini, and other Sausalito artists during a burgeoning creative period in Sausalito’s history. This program looks at her own extraordinary creative output, work on behalf of the community, and the sources of inspiration for her sculpture, ceramics, and activism.
